Well, I may have solved my recent sign-on probs...I have been unable to get into my DA account for a couple of months, but recently downloaded Google Chrome and my probs seem to have gone away. I will update some of my photos and messages soon.

RAW: natural born artist

Just a couple of more weeks until the Portland RAWards show. We've done the venue walk-thru, decided where we will be showing our work and found out who the judges will be (Sam Adams, Mayor of Portland; Seth Aason, Project Runway winner; and Sheryl Stewart, K105 dj). I'm very surprised/excited about the nomination for Portland Photographer of the Year...can't wait to see all the creative madness at this show!

Thought yesterday's madness with the Daily Deviation selection of "pushing up daisies" was wild...now I found out I have been nominated for "Photographer of the Year" by Portland's RAW: natural born artists group. The award show is on November 15th with the winner going on to Hollywood to compete for the title of USA National Photographer of the Year.

A bit happily overwhelmed today as one of my photos ended up as a Daily Deviation. The photo of Portland street art I call "Pushing Up Daisies" is getting slammed with views and faves. Really cool, but it took me completely by surprise to turn on the computer this morning and find several hundred faves stacked up in my messages.

RAW: natural born artist Showcase

Well, it's official!!! I'm booked for the "RAW:natural born artist" Show being held in Portland, Oregon , 8pm Sept 21st at the Bossanova Ballroom on Burnside. Flyers and media kits will be coming out in a few days showcasing the featured artists. I would really appreciate it if you would purchase a ticket through my profile at

since I need to sell 20 $10 tickets before the event to offset the cost of my booth. In addition to the exposure from the show itself, the RAW also provides marketing materials for their artists, headshots, and a video biography we can use for future promotions. I'm really excited....but more than just a bit nervous, too. haha
